We are impressed with the capacity of both the refrigerator and freezer. Dont over fill because it wont stay cool enough

I bought this in October 2022 and had to call a tech out within a month because it wasnt staying cool enough. After 2 trips out I was told I just cant over fill it thats what causes the temp to stay in the mid 40s when I have it set to 33 degrees. He replaced one part but put in the bill that he replaced 2 parts even though the second part he brought was the wrong one and he took it back with him. Replacing that part didnt make a difference. It still wont cool below 37 when set at 33 no matter how much food is in there. If I could return it and get a refund I would. I have never had this issue with any other fridge I have owned.

My rating for the LG I purchased

I bought this in November from Home Depot. The first delivery was damaged the second took forever. I finally got it it was put in place then I noticed another damaged spot on the back.. It was at the bottom and during inspection I didnt notice because the packing for shipping foam was still on it. Anyway it works good the beeping when the door is open for a while is annoying. Theres plenty of space but it should its quite large. The reason it didnt get 5 stars is because the front of the fridge SCRATCHES EASILY Im also dissappointed that when I bought it there was LG rebates on all the LG refrigerators for $200 in food purchased ... even though mine because of its size was one of the largest and most expensive it didnt qualify... So far I do mostly like the fridge not the way the front scratches and still not used to the handles being recessed.

We have never had a side by side but we are SO glad we purchased one this time. The freezer seems to hold more than our last appliance We had a fridge with the lower freezer. It was hard on the back and hard to access food that made its way to the lower part of the freezer. This appliances make more ice feature is very handy if you have company. Controls are in the front of the unit which makes them easy to access as well. It is also a very quiet unit.

Love the under drawer supports for drawers. That makes so much more sense. Great storage. Ice maker has never worked even after 10 service calls. LG knew this was a problem but didnt recall the door or the unit but continued selling it to unsuspecting customers. Water has flooded the dispenser area the handle below and the kitchen floor. They said they would refund the price but havent seen that either.

Slow ice cant open drawers

Two thermometers show that the temperature fluctuates between 37 and 41 when set at the lowest setting of 33. If you open just one of the top doors you cant open the crisper drawer without opening the other door. The ice is the worst it takes 3.5 days to fill the bucket.

We purchased this a few weeks ago. It does a fantastic job of keep food cold or frozen. All that storage space in the doors of the refrigerator section make it easy to organize whats on the shelves by moving the tallest items to the doors. The exact opposite on the freezer side also works to a more storage advantage by having the ice-maker in the door rather than occupying precious shelf space. No complaints about the ice make either... we always have a decent supply of ice and when we need bulk ice we can simply remove the ice bucket easily Great buy with no regrets.

The touch selector for ice and water is unpredictable. You can select water and it just changes to one of two types of ice. You can select ice cubes and it switches to water. Im always having to play with this selector for a few seconds until I successfully get the selection that I chose.

We really love this great LG refrigerator

We purchased this refrigerator about seven months ago so we have had time to get to know it. Thus far we are very happy with it. It has plenty of storage space in the refrigerator section and in the freezer section. Our only downside is that there are no handles on the drawers at the bottom of both sections. You have to reach under the front of the drawer for the recess that is the handle. It is a very low reach for elder people. We didnt explore everything as well as we should have. This is only a small problem which we have gotten used to All things considered this is an excellent side-by-side refrigerator/freezer and would highly recommend it to anyone.
